How To Remove Bumper Stickers

May 11th, 2016 by

Regretting that bumper stick choice you made? Or maybe you just don’t need that parking permit anymore. Either way at some point in our lives we will all have that stubborn sticker we want removed from our car. But what is the best plan of attack? Razors, nail polish remover, we’ve seen it all. But with a little luck, our simple three step plan is all you will need to unstick that stubborn sticker.Step 1Start by warming the sticker up with a hair dryer. Heating the sticker up will loosen the adhesive on the back of the sticker. Blast the sticker with hot air for about one minute. Photo Step 2Using your fingernail or a rubber spatula to gently peel back the corner of the sticker. Do not use a razor blade or anything metal as it can damage the paint. Once the corner is lifted continue to peel the sticker back (not up) until if comes completely off. You can continue to apply heat during this step to loosen the adhesive if needed. Photo Step 3Apply Goo Gone or rubbing alcohol to a soft, clean cloth and rub to remove remaining adhesive. Repeat this step until all residue is gone. If needed, heat can be applied to make the adhesive more pliable. Photo Let’s connect!  Tag us on Instagram at LBHyundai and follow us on Twitter.
