DIY Stain Remover

Does you car have a stain you think you are stuck with? Think again. We have a tested three-ingredient DIY stain remover that will cost you less than $10 and take less than 30 minutes to remove almost any stain. What you will need:Blue Dawn Dish Soap (make sure it is blue)Hydrogen PeroxideBaking SodaWaterToothbrushPaper TowelsCup Step OneMix the hydrogen peroxide with the blue dawn. You can mix up as much or as little of the stain remover as you want depending on the size of your stain. Depending on how much of the solution you are making will determine how much you use of both, just make sure to keep the ratio 1/4 blue dawn to 3/4 hydrogen peroxide. Step TwoAdd in the baking soda. Again there is not an exact measurement, but we recommend about 1 tablespoon.  After you have added the baking soda stir everything together with a toothbrush. Step ThreeFirst start by testing the stain remover in a small inconspicuous area. This step is often overlooked, but we promise the extra time is worth it. Let sit for a few minutes and make sure no discolorations occur. Step FourNow it is time to take the solution to the stain. Fully saturate the stain with the mixture and begin to scrub with the toothbrush. Be sure to scrub in small sections, taking the stain a little bit at a time. Step FiveAfter you have scrubbed the stain for a while, wet a paper towel with clean water and blot. As you scrub with the toothbrush you will start to form suds from the soap, blotting with a wet paper towel will remove that soap and help lift the stain. Continue to repeat steps four and five until stain is gone. ImportantAt first it may appear that the stain is still there or has even spread because the fabric is darker as in the picture above. The fabric will appear dark at first because it is wet from the stain remover and water. Let it sit for a few hours and dry out.
