Hyundai Wins Five GOOD DESIGN Awards | Luther Hyundai Burnsville

Hyundai Motor was recently honored with five GOOD DESIGN awards at the annual GOOD DESIGN awards program. Recognized for the consistent and successful application of their design philosophy, Hyundai received awards for 4 vehicles and one art installation.

Among Hyundai’s lineup, the all-new Tucson, all-new Elantra, Santa Cruz Concept and upcoming IONIQ alternative fuel compact vehicle received GOOD DESIGN awards. The company’s “Sculpture in Motion” art installation also received a GOOD DESIGN award.

“Being recognized as five-time winners in the GOOD DESIGN Awards strengthens Hyundai Motor’s position as an automotive design leader - not only for traditional combustion-engine vehicles, but also for eco-friendly vehicles and ambitious design concepts,” said Byung-Seob Lee, Senior Vice President and Head of the Hyundai Design Center in a Hyundai News Press Release.

The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies created and host the annual awards ceremony. Known as the oldest and most prestigious architecture and design program worldwide, GOOD DESIGN recognizes the most innovative and cutting-edge industrial, product and graphic designs from around the globe.

Hyundai’s award winning designs were selected when an international jury of design professionals, architects, experts and cultural leaders met in New York in November 2015.
